Kohana Development

Kohana is an open-source web application framework for PHP 5. It uses the Model View Controller design pattern and aims to be secure, lightweight, and easy to use. Kohana prizes communal development, speed, flexibility, and documentation as its core values. As of version 2.0 Kohana takes full advantage of PHP 5 to develop a fast, object-oriented framework upon which to develop great web applications.

Kohana v3.x¶

Kohana v3.x (KO3) is a rewrite of Kohana v2.x that offers similar features in a more robust and extensible package.

It is currently at version 3.0.x, and can be downloaded from http://kohanaframework.org/download

Kohana v2.x¶

Kohana v2.x's final release is 2.3.4. The 2.3 series is no longer supported and not recommended for new projects.
